Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Jammy (the “App,” “we,” “us”), a mobile and web application that helps musicians discover, message, and organize jam sessions with other musicians. By creating an account or using Jammy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Jammy.
1. Acceptance & Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Jammy.
By creating an account, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you and Jammy from the moment you create an account.
2. The Service
Jammy provides:
- a discovery feed to find other musicians nearby;
- open direct messaging between any two musicians on the platform;
- tools to propose, accept, and schedule in-person jam sessions at listed studios.
Jammy is not a dating app, not a talent booking or gig marketplace, and does not process payments of any kind at this time.
Following (via a mutual right-swipe) affects visibility of activity and profile updates only — it does not gate or restrict messaging or jam session requests, both of which are open to any two users.
3. Accounts & Content Ownership
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your profile (name, bio, instruments, genres, skill level, location, photo, and video clip) and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
You retain all ownership rights in the photos, videos, messages, and other content you upload or send through Jammy (“Your Content”).
By uploading Your Content, you grant Jammy a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the App to you and other users (for example, showing your profile photo and video clip in the Discover feed, or delivering your messages to their recipient).
This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for content already delivered to another user (such as a message already sent) or copies briefly retained for backup, legal, or safety and moderation purposes.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Jammy to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse another user;
- impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity, age, or affiliation;
- post or send unlawful, obscene, hateful, or sexually explicit content, or content that exploits or endangers minors;
- spam, solicit money or business unrelated to musical collaboration, or run scams or fraud;
- infringe another person's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- attempt to circumvent a block, evade a ban, or retaliate against a user who reported or blocked you;
- scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the operation of Jammy.
Jammy does not tolerate objectionable content or abusive behavior of any kind. Violating this section may result in content removal, warnings, or termination of your account under Section 7.
5. Reporting & Blocking
If another user's content or conduct violates these Terms, you can report them from their profile card or the chat thread menu.
You can also block another user at any time. Blocking hides you from each other in Discover, ends the ability to message each other, and cancels or hides any pending jam session and follow relationship between you.
We aim to acknowledge reports within 24 hours and to take appropriate action — up to and including removing content and terminating the offending account — as soon as reasonably possible after review.
6. In-Person Meetups (Jam Sessions) — Safety Disclaimer
Jammy's jam session feature only helps two users agree on a studio, date, and time. Jammy is not present at, does not supervise, and has no control over what happens at any in-person meetup, jam session, or other gathering arranged through the App.
You are solely responsible for your own safety when meeting another user in person. We strongly recommend meeting in public places, telling someone else your plans, and using your own judgment before agreeing to meet anyone you met on Jammy.
Jammy does not conduct background checks on users and does not vet, endorse, or guarantee the identity, intentions, or conduct of any user, or the safety or suitability of any studio listed in the App.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jammy disclaims all liability for any injury, loss, damage, dispute, or other harm arising from or related to an in-person meetup or jam session arranged through the App, whether or not it takes place at a studio listed by Jammy.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings; this permanently removes your profile, media, and messages as described in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, been the subject of a credible report, or otherwise pose a risk to other users or to Jammy.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
Jammy is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, Jammy and Vinayak Goel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from another user's conduct, content, or an in-person meetup, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jammy and Vinayak Goel from any claim, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions (online or in person) with another user.
10. Third-Party Services
Jammy relies on third-party service providers to operate: Supabase (backend hosting, authentication, file storage, and database), Sentry (crash and error reporting), and Google (optional sign-in via Google OAuth). These providers process data on our behalf as described in our Privacy Policy.
Jammy is not responsible for the availability or practices of these third parties' own services beyond what we use to operate the App.
11. Grievance Officer
In accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, the Grievance Officer for Jammy is:

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts located in Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of Jammy.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of Jammy after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
